Georges Amatoury is a Lebanese and French architect (DPLG), who graduated from the Academie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) in Beirut in 2003
After pursuing a master in management at ESCP Paris, he started his professional career in France at Architecture Studio Paris, and subsequently at Hugues Chevalier Paris; where he learns the knowhow of the luxury furniture business. In 2007, Georges founded ARDECO CONTRACT a furniture manufacture, specialized in the production of high end custom made furnishings for villas, offices, hospitality projects and prestigious royal palaces. His refined and high quality work, lead one of his contracting projects to win the “Best Furnished Accommodation” in KSA. This award was delivered by the “Saudi Excellence in Tourism Award” in 2011.
Then in 2012, his passion for mid-century design icons, led Georges Amatoury to create his signature line; Georges Amatoury Studio, with one objective in mind: creating timeless furniture design that will travel through time with elegance.
Inspired by the aesthetics and designs of the mid-century and modernist icons, Georges Amatoury created a signature studio line that summarizes more than ten years of collecting, learning, crafting and designing. With a vision inspired from organic and geometric forms, the designs abide to aesthetic and finishing standards pertaining to art and jewelry. Playing with duality of an infinite combination merging the solid to the void, the folded to the unfolded, the intertwined to the unraveled, the movement to stability, to new treatments, textures, forms and finishes, the pieces enlighten the room in which they are introduced. These creations harmoniously combine traditional designs with contemporary strokes to create timeless furniture pieces that evoke memorable emotions, and can match with classical or contemporary interiors.
Georges Amatoury Studio’s furniture are characterized by a perfect finishing through all the production phases. The great precision and meticulous attention to detail with which the pieces are made, are also clearly tangible. Hybridity, elegance and purity associated with perfect proportions and finish, characterize these pieces of furniture that combines, in a sensual and incisive way, noble materials like ebony, lacquer with refined polished, oxidized and Gunmetal metals, treated marble and stone.
Georges Amatoury Studio design pieces, whether unique or in limited edition, are all signed, numbered, dated and titled. In addition, a certificate of authenticity is delivered with each piece of furniture.
Absolute master craftsmanship meets contemporary techniques to produce Georges Amatoury Studio furniture that are proudly designed and produced in Lebanon and exported all around the world.
