Returning for its second edition, Meet d3, Dubai Design District’s community event, is back from December 8-10 with a selection of homegrown, regional and international talent.  Open to everyone and free to attend, Meet d3 is back and better than ever with something for everyone to enjoy.

A key highlight in Dubai’s event calendar, this year’s Meet d3 offers more exciting programming for people of all ages. Meet d3 will span across three exciting, action-packed days, showcasing a robust and fun filled programming schedule which will include must-see installations and experiences across fashion and lifestyle, food and beverage, family activities, music and entertainment and a host of local Emirati talent.

“Within a brief timespan, d3 has become a thriving community which fosters the creative aspirations of design talents from the region and abroad.  As an innovative hub, Meet d3 enables us to share our journey with the wider community, along with d3’s residents and participants, to create memorable experiences for families and audiences of all ages,” said Chief Operating Officer of d3, Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi.

“Experimentation, education, innovation, creativity, and fun are the guiding principles of this event. Tens of thousands of visitors made the inaugural Meet d3 in 2015 an unparalleled success, so we have set the bar higher in seeking out talent from the range of disciplines that make d3 such a compelling destination, and we look forward to hosting the extended community at Meet d3 2016 from December 8-10,” he added.

Music and entertainment is top of the agenda at Meet d3 with a host of acts making up the line up as part of the Red Bull Music Academy to kick off the three-day extravaganza. Showcasing some of the most innovative design across the UAE and GCC, Rami Farook curates an exhibition of emerging Emirati artists and designers. Continuing the theme of innovation, The Third Line gallery will merge art, music and food into a single, never-seen-before multisensorial experience. Joining them will be hometown heroes Satwa 3000 who themselves responded to the Meet d3 open call earlier this year and who will bring GIF Paradise where visitors can star in their own animated GIF and receive a copy to share online with friends. There’ll also be a host of retail outlets open throughout the event, including regional retail distributor Chalhoub and award winning multi-brand S*uce who’ll each bring a unique shopping concepts for visitors to explore plus a host of fun and educational activities for kids, including TapeScape and SketchAquarium which will foster the imaginations and keep the little ones entertained.

All of this, and more, across 3 days and it’s free for all!
