Q. How did you go to Korea and developed the concept?

A: STARSKIN was born from a passion to make glowing celebrity complexions attainable without a team of beauty and makeup experts. STARSKIN founders Paul Hendriks and Nicole Arnoldussen spent years traveling around the world studying beauty trends and began developing their brand based on what inspired them most during their travels. Fascinated by the Korean people’s – both men and women – obsession to their skincare regime and advancements in skincare innovation, Paul and Nicole consulted with dermatologists and skincare experts to produce and launch a series of high quality, premium skincare products to bring Korean skincare innovations to Europe, Middle East and the rest of the world.

Q.What is the message behind your brand? + What is the secret to a glowing skin without using any surgery or laser treatment?

Q. How important is skincare in your opinion?
Well, the skin is the largest organ of the body and works 24/7 to protect our bodies from harsh weather, UV rays, pollutants, injuries, pain and a host of other unpleasant sensations, so I think setting aside a few minutes each day to care for our skin is a small price to pay. Daily skin care is important for keeping your skin beautiful and healthy.

In Korea, skincare is part of the culture. Men and women, from a young age, are inculcated with the importance of caring for your skin. It is common for a Korean’s multi-step skincare regime to include 10 products (!). And you can see the results in the Korean women’s dewy, glowing complexions!

Q.You can see the positive result after using the mask, what are the different feedbacks you get from the consumers?
A.Yes, the results are immediate, and that is the idea behind STARSKIN. We want to help consumers achieve professional results in their own home, and with minimum disruption to their daily routine.

Q. How does beauty industry in Europe differentiate from Asia to Middle East?  

A. Consumers in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe and North America are interested in different aspects of skincare, but they are becoming more and more concerned about beauty and maintaining healthy skin. In Asia market there is a high demand for skin brightening products, while in Europe, anti-aging creams have the largest market share in the skincare segment. In Asia, there is a stronger focus on nourishing the skin not only on the outside, but from the inside, and this is done through eating and application of natural and traditional herbs and remedies known for their skin nourishing and boosting qualities. Consumers there are also more open to innovative skincare technologies, so I would say that the beauty industry in Asia is ahead of that in Europe and the Middle East. However, in the Middle East, the cosmetics and beauty industry is seeing a marked growth because of economic and population growth, and rising disposable incomes. The “premiumization” trend within cosmetics, beauty and personal care industry sees consumers increasingly on the lookout for products designed to offer certain benefits, or tackle specific skincare problems. There is a strong and growing focus on style and personal well being when choosing cosmetics and beauty products.

Q. Using only high quality ingredients; a strong and attractive brand; and keeping up with the latest skincare and beauty trends to bring our consumers the best and most innovative skincare and beauty products.
