#QMINinsider; Celebrity Skin Brought to You by STARSKIN® – Innovative Beauty Secrets for Him and for Her
Created from the expertise of celebrity dermatologists and aestheticians, and sourced from Korea, STARSKIN®’s range of advanced beauty and skincare technologies are the best way to achieve a flawless, stunningly perfect complexion. QMIN magazine interviews the two founders of the brand Paul Hendriks and Nicole Arnoldussen to find out its true value and concept behind STARSKIN. Let’s find out all about skin care and how STARSKIN differentiates from the other beauty masks!
Q. How did you go to Korea and developed the concept?
A: STARSKIN was born from a passion to make glowing celebrity complexions attainable without a team of beauty and makeup experts. STARSKIN founders Paul Hendriks and Nicole Arnoldussen spent years traveling around the world studying beauty trends and began developing their brand based on what inspired them most during their travels. Fascinated by the Korean people’s – both men and women – obsession to their skincare regime and advancements in skincare innovation, Paul and Nicole consulted with dermatologists and skincare experts to produce and launch a series of high quality, premium skincare products to bring Korean skincare innovations to Europe, Middle East and the rest of the world.
STARSKIN’s range of Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Face Masks, its Glowstar Foaming Peeling Perfection Puff and the Dual-Layer Hand and Foot Masks are so well-received in Europe and the Middle East that the products were sold in over 20 countries and in more than 1,000 stores within two months of launch. Just this week, we launched our VIP Luxury Gold and Diamond Bio-Cellulose Face Masks in the Middle East, and you can expect more exciting beauty innovations in the coming months!
Q.What is the message behind your brand? + What is the secret to a glowing skin without using any surgery or laser treatment?
A.The secret to achieving glowing, red-carpet ready complexions lies in using quality skincare products and a good skincare regime.
Premium skin-boosting ingredients
Our premium and all-natural Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Face Masks are made in Korea, and are formulated with a carefully curated list of essential skincare ingredients to create a luxurious experience for our consumers who also place a high value on the ingredients list. This principle is at the core of STARSKIN® as we are adamant about using as many natural ingredients as possible, so our masks are suitable for all skin types, and can help everyone attain movie-star quality skin in just 20 minutes. Professional spa results, in 20 mins
Finally, we all enjoy a pampering spa and facial treatment but we want beauty treatments that fit seamlessly with our lifestyles without compromising on quality and results.
STARSKIN’s range of skincare innovations are aimed to do just this! For example, our Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Face Masks adheres so well to the face contours that you can move around freely, compared to when using traditional cotton sheet masks. Our Dual-Layer Hand Mask Gloves are touchscreen-sensitive so you can enjoy a pampering hand treatment while texting with your best friend!
No more putting off your spa treatments!
Q. How important is skincare in your opinion?
A.Well, the skin is the largest organ of the body and works 24/7 to protect our bodies from harsh weather, UV rays, pollutants, injuries, pain and a host of other unpleasant sensations, so I think setting aside a few minutes each day to care for our skin is a small price to pay. Daily skin care is important for keeping your skin beautiful and healthy.
In Korea, skincare is part of the culture. Men and women, from a young age, are inculcated with the importance of caring for your skin. It is common for a Korean’s multi-step skincare regime to include 10 products (!). And you can see the results in the Korean women’s dewy, glowing complexions!
Q.You can see the positive result after using the mask, what are the different feedbacks you get from the consumers?
A.Yes, the results are immediate, and that is the idea behind STARSKIN. We want to help consumers achieve professional results in their own home, and with minimum disruption to their daily routine.
People love STARSKIN masks for their instant and brilliant results with multiple skin-boosting effects. They love the hydration boost, glowing skin and the overall, brighter appearance. Not to mention a skin-pampering, de-stressing treatment that also moisturize, detoxify, replenish nutrients and promote circulation! We are overwhelmed by the feedback from our consumers – check out our Instagram #starskin for organic reviews.
Our Bio-Cellulose masks are so well-received namely for their efficacy in delivering concentrated doses of hydration and active ingredients into skin. Bio-Cellulose — an innovative bio–material — adheres tightly to the face like a second skin so no spot is missed. This creates a barrier for your skin to absorb the ingredients, nutrients and moisture before the serum evaporates. Skin is instantly reenergized, beautifully plumped and much brighter Its amazing fluid-holding capacity means that sheet masks made from Bio-Cellulose not only delivers the ingredients deep into the skin in a concentrated way, but they are also 2-3 times more hydrating than conventional masks.
Q. How does beauty industry in Europe differentiate from Asia to Middle East?
A. Consumers in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe and North America are interested in different aspects of skincare, but they are becoming more and more concerned about beauty and maintaining healthy skin. In Asia market there is a high demand for skin brightening products, while in Europe, anti-aging creams have the largest market share in the skincare segment. In Asia, there is a stronger focus on nourishing the skin not only on the outside, but from the inside, and this is done through eating and application of natural and traditional herbs and remedies known for their skin nourishing and boosting qualities. Consumers there are also more open to innovative skincare technologies, so I would say that the beauty industry in Asia is ahead of that in Europe and the Middle East. However, in the Middle East, the cosmetics and beauty industry is seeing a marked growth because of economic and population growth, and rising disposable incomes. The “premiumization” trend within cosmetics, beauty and personal care industry sees consumers increasingly on the lookout for products designed to offer certain benefits, or tackle specific skincare problems. There is a strong and growing focus on style and personal well being when choosing cosmetics and beauty products.
A.What are the 3 most important factors of success?
Q. Using only high quality ingredients; a strong and attractive brand; and keeping up with the latest skincare and beauty trends to bring our consumers the best and most innovative skincare and beauty products.
