It’s BACK! Vogue’s Annual Fashion’s Night Out is just 2 days away! The September 10th event will be known this year as Vogue Loves Regent Street and will be all about the high-street and designer brands that are based in this location.
Fashion’s Night Out is a global initiative, sponsored by Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers in America (CFDA). The first event was held in 2009, in New York City to encourage consumers to shop and support the fashion industry during an economic crisis. Later on, the event expanded to countries including Australia, Brazil, China, London, Paris, Berlin, Greece, India, Milan, Portugal, Russia, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey.
In association with MAX Factor, this year’s London-based event offers countless specials and promotions. For example, some stores will be running a special discounts on apparel and footwear while others are providing tutorials. 7 For All Mankind is inviting guests to an exclusive champagne cocktail party and giving them a 10% discount as the brand launches its new “Braided Jean”. Stores like Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, and Clarks – among others- will be providing special discounts, while hotels including The Green Bar Hotel Café are offering specially priced drinks for the evening.
“We’re delighted to be celebrating Fashion’s Night Out for our seventh consecutive year, and as the center of London’s retail heartland it made perfect sense to focus our activity with Vogue Loves Regent Street,” said editor Alexandra Shulman. “We hope thousands of shoppers will once again join us to celebrate the street’s exciting mix of designer and high-street brands.”
Regent Street’s Apple store will also be hosting British Vogue’s editor-in chief, Shulman, for an interview from 7.30pm until 8.15pm; you can also listen to the interview as a podcast later that evening through iTunes.
